There is something magical about being at the very top of Great North mountain. The peace and tranquility, the birds and the insane view! It's beyond inspiring!

 

Ms. Combs' four ducks, Waddles, Daisy, Quacker and Drake, enjoy the mountain air. In June, a rescue puppy named Harley  joined Zoey the family lab, as the newest member of the mountain toppers. 

 

Ms. Combs has been teaching for 18+ years. Her career has taken her from a private school in Leesburg to Prince William and then Frederick County Public Schools. She currently teaches special education at an elementary school in Loudoun County. She can't imagine doing anything else. 

 

Ms. Combs has tutored on and off through her years of teaching and began Teacher on the Mountain in December of 2024.
