Growing Readers
Reading is best when it is enjoyable. I love to read to my students and I will start each session modeling expression and fluency with an engaging short story. As an OG (Orton-Gillingham) trained tutor I will focus on phonetics and decoding lessons based on what your child needs. Reading comprehension and literacy skills come once your child is able to sound out and recognize words with confidence. I will personalize our reading session based on where your child is in their reading journey. I hope they will end up loving reading as much as I do.
Math Skills
Math tutoring enriches your learner's understanding of foundational math concepts and problem-solving strategies, ensuring a strong mathematical foundation for their future success. Manipulatives, graphic organizers, and songs help learners grasp important skills both visually and auditorily.
Writing Potential
My writing workshop will guide your little one through the processes of creative and academic writing in fun, non-intimidating ways. From brainstorming ideas, to elaborating with million dollar words, to revising and editing with new found confidence. Writing doesn't have to be a chore for kids. It can be an outlet.
Homework Help
Homework is meant to practice concepts learned at school. If your child is struggling with an assignment, bring it along and we can tackle it together.
